Min-Tzu Chao
Min-Tzu born in 1983 Taiwan and graduated from MA Sequential design/ illustration at University of Brighton in 2009. Her wish to create artworks which can bring a positive impact when viewers discover them. She invested in narrative& emotion design and evocative colour palette. Her research in visualizing social and cultural difference with identity and symbolic representation.
In Double Happiness, Min-Tzu assembled images, objects and symbols to interpret the times in which Taiwanese women in four generations were born, lived and married. Drawing on the many interrelated and overlapping themes in each work. This project seeks to the audience participate in decoding meaning and sewing stories and ask how visual imagery can inform and understand the women's courageous spirit.
